Mountain Resorts

Local mountain resorts offer a real taste of the great outdoors. Lake Gregory, Lake Silverwood, Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear Lake show off the serene beauty of the Inland Empire with four seasons of fun including water sports, winter skiing at local ski resorts and ice skating at one of the world's most beautiful outdoor skating rinks.

Camping/Hiking

San Bernardino is surrounded by the San Bernardino National Forest. You'll find camping, hiking trails, fishing, swimming, bicycling and designated areas for off-road vehicles.

For an interesting side-trip from Lake Arrowhead, visit the Indian mortars near one of the ranger stations on Highway 173. Substantial archeological evidence indicates that Native Americans inhabited this site seasonally for more than 4000 years! Or, take a trip through Holcomb Valley where the gold rush started in the late 1800s.
