sportsIf you are a sports enthusiast, whether as a participant or spectator, the Inland Empire is where you want to be. Numerous golf courses in the area offer championship challenges in beautiful settings.  There are 20 city parks and 10 San Bernardino regional parks offering boating, fishing, swimming, water slides, camping, trap & skeet and picnicking for great family outings.

The San Bernardino National Forest is only minutes away from downtown San Bernardino. Local mountain resorts at Big Bear, Lake Arrowhead and Lake Gregory offer snowboarding, skiing, and ice-skating as well as summer water sports.

Local youth sports tournaments play a major part in San Bernardino.  Each year in July and August the Little League Western Region Headquarters in San Bernardino hosts regional baseball playoffs for the Girls Softball in July and the Boys Little League in August.  The boys’ playoffs represent teams from the 13 western states that are playing for advancement to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA.

The San Bernardino Soccer Complex engulfs 47 acres and consists of 17 regulation soccer fields, five that are lit for night play.  A wide variety of vendors, RV parking with electric hook-ups and on-site restrooms are available.  The San Bernardino Soccer Complex proudly hosts a variety of tournaments including Galaxy, Celtic, Coast Soccer League, Cal South and Arsenal.

The Inland Empire 66ers is a Minor League Baseball team affiliated with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. Every year roughly 200,000 fans flock to the 66ers stadium in downtown San Bernardino to see some of the Angels brightest young talents on their way to the big leagues. Fans can take advantage of outstanding wallet- friendly specials like Two Dollar Tuesday ($2 ticket and parking specials), Thirsty Thursday ($1 drinks), and 50 Cent Friday (50 cent hot dogs and quesadillas). Fans may also receive great giveaways like bobbleheads and fleece blankets, or enjoy a post game fireworks show at select home games. An added bonus is a chance to see current major league stars play with the Inland Empire 66ers on rehab assignments. In past seasons, perennial all stars like Manny Ramirez and Vernon Wells have worn 66ers uniforms.  Experience a whole new ballgame with the Inland Empire 66ers.
